[LCFinance] Utility Payment Guidance

Yes - it would include electricity, heat (LP gas in many cases),
water/sewer, trash pickup, local telephone and basic internet access.
These items have been defined in industry guidance as utilities even
though the IRS has not provided a list of what they consider to be
utilities.

Just thinking about our proposed budget.  Will LP gas for the parsonage
be included with the utility bills?

Attached is a document with guidance on payment of utilities for church
parsonages.  Many of you are aware that the Cabinet is asking that all
congregations with pastors living in parsonages begin making utility
payments directly to the utility companies rather than making cash
allowance payments to the pastor.  Please see the attached guidance for
more discussion of this if it applies to your congregation.
