[LCFinance] Sunday Collections

I thought all monies were to be counted the day of collections, either during service or immediately following, then deposited.

Our finance committee is in the process of reviewing the church procedure for safe-guarding Sunday offering until our ‘counters’ come in on Monday. We currently deposit the money off-site but our chair seems to think this raises more of a security risk by moving the money in and out rather than holding on to the money until the next day. Would anyone like to volunteer their thoughts, not necessarily your church procedures, on what works and what doesn’t? Thanks for help!
