Hey everyone! We need your help! The Conference Trustees are working
to negotiate discounted group rates for workers' compensation
  liability
insurance coverage for local churches through the PACT insurance
provider, Zurich, and we need you. The Zurich underwriters need
workers' comp loss runs for about 25 or so of our churches in order
  to
really dig a little deeper and lower those rates. We are hoping to
  get
rates that will be affordable so that even smaller churches that are
  not
required by law to carry the coverage will be able to do so at a
  price
they can afford. The pastors and congregations of those smaller,
uncovered churches are at risk because regular health insurance would
not typically cover injuries they may get at work (it is easy to slip
and fall) and the church would be liable for any costs for treatment
  or
  lost work.

If possible, we need you to help out by asking your current insurance
provider for a loss run for your workers' comp policy that they can
provide to us for this negotiation. This does not bind your church in
any way to anything - it will just help to give us negotiating power
with the insurance company. If you are willing to help out, please
  let
me know and I will send you a memo that you can send to your
  insurance
agent to request the information. You will just need to put your name
on the memo and send it - they should do the rest. Thanks for
considering this and please let me know if you can help us out.

  Thanks!

  Christine
