You are not required to pay the full amount of the cost as a pastor could take the difference off of his/her taxes as unreimbursed employee expense (as long as it meets the IRS definition of a business expense). The Conference does have a travel policy that outlines what we will reimburse for - it is basically the same as what the IRS defines as a business travel expense. I have attached the policy we have in effect at the Conference and will put it on the Treasurer's Office website under Downloads for your reference.
